SLOT MACHINE BASICS

Slots are simple, easy and fun game to play and it is this combination that makes slots so popular with both novice and pro traders. All you need to know is machines pay table and how many coins you should play and your all set, below find a basic introduction to all slot machines:

Coins

You can drop as many Casino chips as you wish into the slot. Putting chips in the slot increases your coin credits based on the coin setting for the machine and the dollar value of the chips. Each slot machine can be set to play $0.25 coins, $1 coins or $5 coins. If you put a $10 Casino chip in a slot machine with a $1 coin setting, your coin credits will be 10. If you change the coin setting to $0.25, your coin credits will increase to 40 (for a $10 chip).

Bet & Play

To play a slot machine make a credit and click the spin button to rotate the reels. The reels will spin independently and then come to rest randomly on various symbols at the Pay Line (the horizontal line running across the reels). If the reels stop at a winning combination according to the posted payout table, the machine will pay out, increasing your coin credits.

Payouts

Payouts are shown in the payout table at the top of each slot machine. The payout tables have rows containing the payout amounts for various winning combinations of reel symbols at the Play Line. Each has a combination of possible payout amounts, depending on the number in the Coins Bet meter. As you change the Coins Bet value, the vertical column of payout amounts for that Coins Bet number will be highlighted.

Slots Number Of Reels

The most common machines have three reels, but casinos offer machines with more i.e. four or five. When it comes to the odds of winning what is most important are the number of reels a machine has, and how many symbols are displayed on each reel. Generally, the greater the number of reels and symbols, the harder it is to hit the jackpot or any other winning combination. The number of symbols on each reel is programmed into the computer that operates the slot machine, and the actual number of symbols depends on the size of the jackpot that the machine offers. The reason for the programmed symbols is to make the jackpot rare enough that the machine will generate enough money to pay for the jackpot and yield a profit for the casino. Most machines are set to pay out anywhere from 83 to 98 percent of the coins that are played in the course of a pay cycle.

Machines Multiple Coins

On average, machines operate on a two or three coin maximum. When it comes to multiple coin playing machines, there are subtle variations. With some machines, the number of coins played is proportional to the payoff, and with others, the payoff is more than proportional. Some machines don't even pay a jackpot on one coin, and the three-coin jackpot often pays 150% of a two-coin win. In this case it is of course best to play the maximum number of coins. The standard slot machine has one pay line, but three pay lines are not that uncommon. For multi-lined pay lines, a coin must be played for a specific pay line in order for that pay line to be eligible for a win.
