CPM Text Box Advertising

Net Planet text box ads are a DIY system that enable you to run your ads site wide on our web site.

The advertisements are text based and look similar to Google Adwords - except they're CPM - like banner impressions - not pay per click. This means you pay a maximum of 1 cent per view of your ad - instead of several dollars whenever someone clicks your ad.

You don't get into bidding price wars with competing advertisers - everybody pays the same price. If there are more advertisers than available ad space, then the ads are displayed in rotation.

Because your ads will appear on any page where we've placed the ads box, they work best for your offers that have a wide appeal. Targeted niche advertising is available through Net Planet's normal advertising packages.

With Net Planet's text box ads, you write your own ads, and they're activated immediately after you pay by Paypal.

You can write a single ad, or run your own ad campaigns - you can start and stop individual ads at will. Ad campaigns let you test different headlines - text, price, landing pages, etc. so that you can test and fine-tune your ads for maximum conversion.

Our ad pricing is extremely low at only 10 US Dollars per 1,000 views - and there are discounts when you purchase 5,000, 10,000 or 20,000 views.

Net Planet don't take your credit card information, and your ads will cease to display automatically when your pre-paid ad payment is used up. Because you pay for your ads via Paypal, you have a wide range of payment options, including check.

When you've paid for your ad via Paypal your ad becomes live. You have your own control panel in which to manage your ad campaigns. If you want to edit an ad that's running - you must de-activate the ad in your control panel - edit the ad - then re-activate the ad.

All your ads are paid for individually - and individual ads become inactive when they've received the number of views you've paid for.

Your control panel allows you to view the number of times your ad has been viewed - and the number of clicks it's received.

The following screen shots walk you through the process of creating, and activating your ads:

This is the first screen you'll see - there are 3 options:

1. Create a new account. You enter your desired username and password, along with your regular email address - then press the submit button.

2. Sign in. This is the box you use to access and manage your account. You press the "SIGN IN" hyperlink.

3. Request lost password reminder. Can't remember your sign in info? Enter the email address you were using when you signed up, and we'll email it to you.

Writing your first ad. Everything except the number of ad displays you're buying can be changed later - so don't worry about making mistakes.

When you're happy with your ad, press the "Submit" button - this will move the ad you've just written, to your pending campaign, and blank out the ad box, ready for your next ad.

This is what you'll see after pressing the "Submit" button for your first ad, and are ready to press the "Submit" button for your second ad.

We're just writing the ads at this stage - they don't become active until you make a payment.

Here we have two ads written and the ad box blanked out ready for the next ad. You can keep writing your ads - or move on the the payment and actvation stage.

Looking at the "Your Campaigns" box there are three items you can click:

1. Trash Can - this will delete the ad you've written.

2. Edit - this lets you make changes to your ad, prior to activation.

3. Activate - pressing this button takes you to Paypal - where you pay for this ad. And you'll see the following screen:

Now you're on Paypal's web site - and the payment form has automatically been completed with the ad impressions and payment amount you chose when writing your ad. You'll see the phrase "PayPal is the authorised payment processor for Ace SEO" - this is our CPM ad broker who handle our CPM ad system. When you've made your payment to Paypal you'll return to the following screen:

Here we have the first ad paid for - and it's active. The second ad has not been paid for yet - pressing the "Activate" button takes us back to Paypal:

If you wrote your second ad and requested 10,000 impressions it will look just like the previous form - otherwise it will be automatically filled in with whatever number of impressions and payment amount you chose. On completion of the payment process you'll return to the following screen:

Both ads have been paid for - and they're both active and being displayed on the Net Planet web site. Your can sign in to your ad control panel at any time to modify your ads, stop them, create new ads, see how many times your ads have been viewed, see how many times they've been clicked. You can also make a new payment for any ads that have expired - because they've been viewed the number of times you paid for.
